Providence Ministries for the Needy is currently seeking a dynamic resource development professional to join the staff team as the Director of Community Development. This newly created position is responsible for developing and executing PMN's fundraising and communications strategies under the direction of the Executive Director. S/he will oversee donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities at all gift levels. S/he will also provide oversight of special events, communications activities, donor database management, and gift acknowledgements. This position acts as liaison to donor groups and external groups in the planning and execution of fundraising activities. The Director of Community Development serves as a member of the agency’s leadership team, in partnership with the Executive Director. It is with joy that we're announcing the transfer of ownership of Cinderelli’s to Diane Olson, our current volunteer, on the first of January 2014. After two years, it has become more and more clear that we can’t continue with the project. We believe that Cinderelli’s can grow and thrive with Diane at the helm and she will continue be a community partner with Providence Ministries. We're very grateful for all the support offered us through this project. Cinderelli's will continue to collect donations for the Ministries and offer peole an option to donated a portion of there consignment to benefit our mission.

PMN/Kate's Kitchen is seeking organizations, businesses, individuals and families
to sponsors meals at Kate's Kitchen. Kate's serves a noontime meal 365 days a year to anyone, no questions asked. On average Kate's serves 125-150 guests. There are two ways to sponsor a meal, the first being to donated $250 ($2 per person, per meal). A sign with the patrons name will be visable at each meal sponsored. The second way is to prepare food and deliver it to Kate's the day of your sponsorship. An individual table for any meal may be sponsored for $50.

All sponsors are welcome to help serve the meal on the day of their sponsorship. All gifts to Providence Ministries are tax deductable.

foodWorks is a culinary training program that offers unemployed and under employed individuals job training in the culinary field. The mission of the program is to empower, educate, train and provide nutritious meals to people in need. This is a project of Providence Ministries, Holyoke Food and Fitness Policy Council and other community organizations.Current funding is provided by The Kellogg Foundation, Health South,The FoodBank of Western Mass and The Holyoke Rotary Club.
